Grids

Because I've made painted sculpture in the past, it's natural for me to work with multiple pieces, joined permanently or temporarily. I've been interested in grids and mathematically divided spaces for a long time; the underlying geometry in an installation or even a 'sketch' makes for a starting point limitation, long before content and aesthetic feel are a consideration. Projects over the grid expand the possibilities of experiencing place on a few levels.

A gridded wall with shapes that read like language: sometimes they are seen as notes, sometimes icons, sometimes shapes that mark a place. Projections add another layer.
